How would you like to count your packs?
Subtract packs still unopened

0 level rewards + 0 Battle Pass + 0 purchased / other − 0 unopened. Include other eligible rewards in “Purchased / other packs”; count each pack only once.

Level rewards estimate packs earned, not your opening history. After a random shard drop, use “Enter pack count” for your current cycle.

Drop odds and which packs count

EA publishes a 0.045% chance per eligible pack. Progress toward 500 does not increase the random drop rate. Eligible players receive shards by their 500th pack without a shard drop.

The modelled chance of at least one drop by 0 eligible packs is 0.0%, including the 500-pack guarantee. This uses constant independent drop odds; it is not your chance on the next pack.

Excluded: Collection Event, Thematic Event, Milestone Event, Collection Retro, and replacement-item packs. Ordinary eligible Apex Packs earned from levels, Battle Passes, or purchases count when opened.

The guarantee applies while you remain eligible for Base Mythic items. Players who own all available Base Mythics or have enough shards for the remaining items should check EA’s eligibility rules.

How This Tool Works

This Apex Pack calculator estimates packs earned from account levels, Battle Pass rewards, purchases, and other eligible rewards you enter. Subtract packs still unopened to estimate how many eligible Apex Packs you have opened.

Select your prestige tier and the level shown in-game. The original 500 levels award 199 packs; the three prestige tiers award 115 each, for 544 level rewards in total.

If you know your opening history, choose Enter pack count. After a random shard drop, enter only eligible packs opened since that drop. Starting a new pity count resets that cycle to zero while keeping your level inputs.

Inputs save on this device. Copy the result link to keep a separate scenario or share it; a shared link takes precedence over saved progress.

Formula & Assumptions

  • Estimated packs opened = max(0, level rewards + Battle Pass packs + purchased or other eligible packs - unopened packs).
  • Manual mode uses the eligible packs opened in your current pity cycle, instead of lifetime level rewards.
  • Packs remaining = max(0, 500 - current cycle count), subject to EA's Base Mythic eligibility rules.
  • EA publishes 0.045% random drop odds per eligible pack. The cumulative model below 500 is 1 - (1 - 0.00045)^packs; the eligible 500th pack is guaranteed.
  • Collection Event, Thematic Event, Milestone Event, Collection Retro, and replacement-item packs do not advance the bonus shard counter.

Example Scenario

  1. At original level 500, the level reward estimate is 199 packs. Add 20 Battle Pass packs and 35 purchased eligible packs.
  2. Subtract eight packs still unopened: 199 + 20 + 35 - 8 = 246 estimated packs opened, or 254 to the lifetime 500-pack threshold.
  3. If you already received random shards and have opened 80 eligible packs since then, use Enter pack count with 80. Your current cycle has 420 packs remaining.

Common Mistakes

  • Counting earned packs that are still unopened.
  • Adding excluded event packs to the eligible 500-pack counter.
  • Using lifetime pack rewards after a random shard drop reset the current cycle.
  • Reading cumulative probability as the chance on the next pack: random per-pack odds remain 0.045% before the guarantee.

Data Source & Update Policy

  • EA's Apex Legends FAQ was checked October 3, 2026 for published odds, pack exclusions, and Base Mythic eligibility.
  • Level reward schedules use the community-maintained Apex Legends Wiki. These estimate rewards earned, rather than fetching your account's opening history.
  • This tracker cannot verify an account's hidden pity counter; use your known pack count when available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check Apex Packs by username?

This calculator cannot import pack history from your username. Enter your level and eligible reward sources for an estimate, or enter your known packs opened since the last random shard drop.

Are Heirloom Shards guaranteed at 500 packs?

Eligible players cannot open more than 500 eligible packs without receiving Heirloom Shards. The counter covers a cycle without a random shard drop, not 500 additional lifetime packs regardless of previous drops. EA excludes several event pack types and applies Base Mythic eligibility rules.

Does the calculator save my pack count?

Yes, inputs are saved locally in your browser when storage is available. They do not sync automatically between devices. Copy the result link to move a scenario to another device; opening it replaces the locally saved inputs.
